The Anthropocene as Multiple Crisis: Perspectives from Latin America
The six-part handbook collection The Anthropocene as Multiple Crisis: Perspectives from Latin America examines the Anthropocene from the perspective of Latin America as a specific region of the Global South. The individual volumes analyze different socio-ecological crises in the context of the Anthropocene from Latin American perspectives, without losing sight of their global dimensions. At the same time, the collection aims to systematically explore the diverse ecological crises of global proportions, which are captured by the concept of the Anthropocene, from the perspective of Latin American social sciences and humanities. In doing so, it establishes an empirically grounded basis for a genealogy of the Anthropocene that takes into account the specific social, ecological, and historical conditions of Latin America.
